Research and Application: Measuring Social Needs and Outcomes

Growing recognition of the importance of social determinants of health leads to growing realization of the challenges of identifying and describing social needs in an actionable way. Measuring social needs properly has implications for people’s health and their community well-being, as well as in developing an understanding of what works to address those needs. In this webinar, Caroline Fichtenberg of the Social Interventions Research and Evaluation Network will take a look at the current landscape of screening tools and outcomes measures, while Karis Grounds of 2-1-1 San Diego will demonstrate the methodology and framework of their Risk Rating Scale, which is helping them better serve their clients while showing the impact of their services over time.
