Addressing food insecurity: A toolkit for pediatricians

American Academy of Pediatrics, Food Research & Action Center

Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC), this toolkit was created to aid pediatricians in addressing patient food insecurity. It provides information about the prevalence of food insecurity, how food insecurity impacts children's health outcomes, how to screen for food insecurity, and interventions that help address food insecurity, including federal nutrition programs like SNAP, WIC and school and summer feeding programs.
