Registration open for a two-part SIREN and Futures Without Violence webinar series

SIREN is excited to partner with Futures Without Violence on a two-part webinar series this season. Here is why:

Forty percent of women and 25% of men experience violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Not only is intimate partner violence itself a key social driver of health, but it also significantly influences other social drivers of health – including housing, job and food security, and social connectedness.

In this webinar series, we will learn from experts in the intimate partner violence field who have spent decades designing (and redesigning!) strategies to promote violence prevention and healing.

In the first event, speakers will discuss evidence-based and healing-centered approaches for responding to intimate partner violence and share strategies shown to estable and sustain meaningful partnerships with community-based programs.

In the second event, speakers will share their lessons learned about sustainable and equitable approaches to documentation/coding and intervention, which are relevant not only to intimate partner violence but also to other social drivers of health

Confirmed speakers include Elizabeth Miller, MD, PhD from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Lisa James, MA from Futures Without Violence.
