Chidiogo “Diogo” Anyigbo, MD, MPH, FAAP is a general pediatrician and health services researcher at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Anyigbo is a KL2 scholar whose research focuses on mitigating adverse childhood experiences and unmet social needs (i.e. food insecurity and access to public nutrition programs) that limit a caregiver’s capacity to foster safe, stable, and nurturing relationships essential for their child’s overall social-emotional functioning. She is also a PI for a grant from the USDA focused on improving language inclusion and access to the Women, Infant and Children’s (WIC) program for families in Hamilton County, Ohio. Dr. Anyigbo received her undergraduate, medical, and public health degrees from Emory University. She completed her residency and general academic pediatrics fellowship at Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. Dr. Anyigbo is a recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the Academic Pediatric Association (APA) and the NIH Loan Repayment Program. Dr. Anyigbo has held local and national leadership positions within the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and is an executive committee member on the AAP Council on Early Childhood (COEC). The safe, stable, and nurturing relationship her mother provided which buffered childhood stressors is the greatest inspiration for her work.
