CIN webinar series — The ROI for addressing social needs in health care (#1)

The California Improvement Network has identified addressing social needs that impact health as a top priority area for 2018–19. This webinar series spotlights in-progress efforts of leading health organizations to accurately measure return on investment (ROI) for social needs that impact health.

This webinar provides information about the efforts Contra Costa Health Services, a county-led health system, has taken to measure its return on investment for its social needs initiatives. Contra Costa Health Services shared its progress, lessons learned, challenges, and insights from this leading-edge work.

There is not a single approach for defining and measuring ROI for social needs initiatives, and many organizations aren’t sure where to even start. No matter what stage they are at in the process, this webinar holds valuable information for health care organizations in the process of considering different approaches to addressing social influences.

Joining the conversation were CIN Managing Partner April Watson, in addition to a data scientist and a health planner/evaluator from Contra Costa Health Services.
