Health care produces a significant amount of waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Pediatric clinicians can take several actions to reduce the climate change-related negative health impacts of their own practices, including practicing preventive medicine, optimizing high-value care, evaluating prescribing practices, addressing transportation and technology, and reducing waste.
