Digital interventions range from information and communication technologies (ICT) to artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled applications that facilitate social connection, remote health monitoring, and psychosocial support. This Commentary aims to assess recent literature on digital and AI-driven approaches to reducing social isolation and improving mental health in older adults, identify limitations in current research, and propose directions for future work that are both evidence-based and implementable.
