North Carolina's Healthy Opportunities Pilots Evaluation Results
North Carolina was one of the first states in the nation to provide non-medical services related to food, transportation, housing, interpersonal safety, and toxic stress to high-needs Medicaid enrollees through its Healthy Opportunities Pilots. Earlier this year, the state released interim evaluation results that showed the pilots decreased health care utilization and lowered costs of care. In the lead up to our National Research Meeting in February 2025, our webinar delved into the evaluation results with the lead evaluator and we heard from an organization implementing the program about what they learned along the way.
This webinar was made possible with support from Kaiser Permanente and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
